Deck the Boughs
Sunday, December 19, Mystic Seaport will hold their 55th Annual Community Carol Sing. The day will feature several holiday and nautically themed events. The Museum will be open to visitors from 10:00 to 4:00 and admission is free with the donation of a canned food item (all contributions will be donated and distributed by the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center). At noon, 1:00 and 2:00 the Treworgy Planetarium will present “The Star of Bethlehem,” a program that explores the winter skies merging science, mythology winter traditions and music (visitors are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to each presentation).
Also that day, the Mystic Seaport Carolers will perform a holiday concert at 2:00. The community carol sing will begin at the Greenmanville Church at 3:00.
In addition to enjoying the music in this seaside village, visitors will be able to hear holiday stories of the sea told about historic vessels, try candle dipping at the Buckingham-Hall House, print a Victorian Christmas card keepsake at the Print Shop and more.
