Damen's YS 5009 Fast & Furious in Action

Amels Holland has released videos of Damen Shipyards' yacht support vessel Fast & Furious.

Two videos have been released by Amels Holland of Damen Shipyards' new Yacht Support (YS) 5009 Fast & Furious hitting water.

The 180-foot vessel launched this summer and video shows her emerging from the Dutch shipyard for the first time. With 2,422 square feet of open deck space, Fast & Furious can carry a variety of tenders, personal watercraft and a helicopter. There's also a touch and go helipad, a built-in helicopter fuel tank and fresh water cleaning system for the helicopter.

Her 31-foot beam provides room for plenty of berths and storage. She has a 5,000-NM range at 16 knots. Four Caterpillar 3512C TA diesels provide the power.

Options include a 237-square-foot swim platform, a decompression chamber and a dynamic positioning system.

Exterior Configurations: Damen provides a range of configurations for the YS 5009. Need more open deck space? Add a raised helipad and store the RIB underneath the helicopter. Want to keep your helicopter covered? Add a telescopic sliding door hangar.

Interior Configurations: Foredeck accommodation options allow for a range of layouts for staterooms, offices, a gym, workshops, laundry or a hospital.

Need your YSV in a jiffy?: If you want one of these support vessels, they can be built and delivered to you in eight months, says Damen.

Fast & Furious has already made an appearance at the 2016 Monaco Yacht Show.
