Cruising on the Hoc 33P

Yachting takes the Hoc 33P for a test drive during the Monaco Yacht Show.

This Swedish boatbuilder brought its Hoc 33P to the 2017 Monaco Yacht Show and it caught the eye of our executive editor, Kevin Koenig, so he climbed aboard and took her for a spin.

The dayboat was the official tender for the 155'8" M/Y Rola while in Monaco.

During our test we sat down with the CEO of Hoc Yachts, Vilhelm Djurberg to learn more about the unique design of the cruiser. Her hull resembles a modified stepped hull, which is meant to provide a more hydrodynamic experience. It allows for a comfortable cruise at high speeds. Koenig brought her to a top hop of 36 knots with ease.

Our takeaway? "She handled like a dream," Koenig said.
