Gofree Hooked App
GoFree, part of the Navico family of brands that include Lowrance, Simrad and B&G, has begun beta testing of its GoFree Hooked app for iOS. The company is looking for fishing fans who want to give the first version a try.
The GoFree Hooked app lets anglers record and share every fishing trip, with details about the time, location and navigation track of each outing. A “catch” function saves fish details like photos, size, weight, species and other information, and the app then merges that information with other navigational data for a complete picture of every catch that gets stored in the GoFree cloud server.
Likely even more fun is the “compete” feature, which lets users create their own fishing tournaments among friends. Competition guidelines are customizable by key tactics, including weight, length and quantity of fish.
“The GoFree Hooked app is the first of its kind: an app that gives anglers the ability to track their personal success and compete with others,” Navico CEO Leif Ottosson stated in a press release.
