Nobiskrug has held the keel-laying ceremony for the 252-foot Black Shark and says the yacht is on track for scheduled delivery in spring 2021.
Black Shark is the second yacht that Nobiskrug has collaborated on with Imperial Yachts. The yacht is Imperial’s first with Winch Design, which drew the exteriors, and Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, which handled interiors.
Features are expected to include a reverse bow, an on-deck whirlpool, a beach club and a spa area. The yacht will cruise with two “luxury tenders,” according to Nobiskrug.
At the keel-laying ceremony, a coin was inserted under Black Shark‘s keel for good luck. It will be returned to the owner when the yacht is nearly complete.
Did you know? Nobiskrug has been building vessels for 114 years. Its first yacht, the 302-foot Tatoosh, launched in 2000. The largest vessel the yard can build is nearly 1,400 feet length overall.
