Australia-based Riviera Yachts has launched its new flagship, the 77 Enclosed Flybridge. The model, whose length overall is 81 feet, will premiere at the Dubai International Boat Show in March.

“I believe this is the best Riviera ever built,” company owner Rodney Longhurst stated in a press release. “The owner challenged us to create a yacht that would meet his very specific requirements, and the 77 Enclosed Flybridge is proof of what we can do. It is proof that Riviera is able to meet the high expectations of the most fastidious of owners.”

Hull No. 1 has been christened Life Serenity. Her forward windows offer 360-degree views, she has four staterooms including a full-beam master, there’s a dining area on the foredeck, and double transom doors are adjacent to her hydraulic swim platform. She also has upgraded air conditioning — 32,000 BTUs on the mezzanine deck alone — for use in the Middle East, where temperatures are regularly above 104 degrees Fahrenheit and can go as high as 126F. Riviera’s engineers used additional heat-curing treatments on exposed structural areas to withstand the climate.

Life Serenity is bound for an owner who previously sea-trialed Riviera’s 75 Enclosed Flybridge. He owns several other yachts and commissioned this one for long-range fishing, extended cruising and entertaining.

“It was very rough weather that day, but the boat was very stable,” he stated in a press release. “She turned very sharply without any major effort, and I knew then that I would like to work with Riviera to build a boat that would suit both my personal and family requirements.”
