My-Villages has integrated The Boat Village customer communications platform with the DockMaster back-office software suite, creating a tool that manages everything from service coordination to parts ordering and accounting.
The integrated platforms eliminate the need for multiple phone calls, faxes emails and text messages. Boaters can enter task requests into The Boat Village, and those requests are routed to a service manager, then turned into a DockMaster estimate where a service manager can allocate hours, order parts and more. Boaters can further approve tasks on the estimate, ask questions and receive updates as the work gets underway.
“The integration of DockMaster and The Boat Village means that service organizations do not need to enter customer and boat information into both systems,” the company stated in a press release. “Information can be accessed and updated in either one, and the systems automatically synchronize.”
Companies that have signed on to use the integrated system include Whiticar Boat Works in Florida, FastBoats Marine Group in Florida, Northshore YachtWorks in British Columbia and Portland Yacht Services in Maine.
