Dutch builder Amels, which has seen continual orders for its Limited Editions series, just inked a deal to build the largest-volume custom yacht in the shipyard’s history.

While the 272-foot Limited Editions Here Comes the Sun will remain the longest yacht from Amels in terms of length overall, the new 256-foot custom build will have more gross tonnage, at 2,850 (compared to Here Comes the Sun‘s 2,827 gross tons).

Delivery on the 256-footer is scheduled for 2021. Espen Øino designed the exterior as well as the interior general arrangement.

The owner signed the contract during the Monaco Yacht Show in September.

“It is the first time we have collaborated with Amels on a yacht project,” Øino stated in a press release. “We are very impressed by the know-how and professionalism that the Amels custom yachts team have displayed during the design development and negotiations, and look forward to working together towards making this vessel a unique custom yacht we all can be proud of.”

Who will handle interior décor? Zuretti Interior Designers in France.
