CL Yachts has released the first images of its CLB65 SUV, a 64-foot-8-inch yacht designed for owner-operators who want a sporty profile, straightforward handling and flexible spaces for entertaining and time on the water.
The CLB65 SUV takes a different approach to the established CLB65 platform, replacing the flybridge with a single-level main deck and a flexible stern area. Power comes from either twin Caterpillar C18 diesels rated at 1,136 hp each or twin Volvo Penta D13s rated at 1,000 hp each.
Developed with naval architect Howard Apollonio and structural engineering firm Gurit, the yacht has a resin-infused composite hull reinforced with carbon fiber. Owners can also specify a hidden ZF JMS control system, with docking controls available at either side of the helm, along with electric fin stabilizers or a gyroscopic stabilizer paired with active interceptors.
Outdoor living is central to the layout. The stern area can be configured for fishing and diving, used as a beach club or converted into a temporary stateroom. A teak-laid swim platform extends the space to the water, while the aft lounge has a daybed, bar and two stools. Forward, a separate lounge provides sun pads and seating.
The main deck brings the aft deck, galley and salon together on one level. A flip-up galley window and sliding port-side door connect the interior with the cockpit, while an electric grill and bar seating create another gathering spot. Inside, the salon has expansive windows, an opening rooftop and a pop-up, rotating television. Supertomato Studio designed the interiors with neutral tones, natural materials and a choice of walnut or white oak finishes.
Belowdecks, the CLB65 SUV accommodates six guests in three staterooms. The full-beam master has a king-size bed, hull-side windows and an en suite with double vanities and a generous shower. A VIP stateroom and a convertible twin-to-single guest stateroom complete the accommodations, with a separate utility room or crew cabin also available.
The CLB65 SUV combines a compact footprint with the flexibility for extended days aboard. Its owner-operator focus is clear: a single-level layout, adaptable outdoor spaces and twin-diesel performance without the added complexity of a flybridge.
