Riva has gone bigger than ever with the new Riva 54Metri, an all-aluminum flagship measuring 179 feet 11 inches and carrying 499 gross tons. Developed by Officina Italiana Design, Riva’s Product Strategy Committee and Ferretti Group Engineering Department, the yacht stretches the brand’s familiar sleek profile and metallic detailing across a considerably larger canvas.
The four-deck layout is designed around a close connection with the water. At the stern, a 42.5-square-meter beach area—about 458 square feet—centers on a 13-by-6.6-foot pool. The club can expand to more than 60 square meters, or about 646 square feet, when the fold-out bulwarks are deployed. A transformer platform provides access to the water, while the adjacent gym adds another amenity to the beach setup.
Above, the 484-square-foot main-deck cockpit connects directly to the salon through a large sliding glass door. The interior combines natural teak, Sahara Noir and Bianco Rhino marble, leather and polished steel, with dining space for 10. Forward, the full-beam master suite has electrically opening hull windows, two walk-in closets and a marble-clad bathroom.
Four guest staterooms—two VIPs and two guest—are on the lower deck, while the crew has five double cabins plus a captain’s cabin near the wheelhouse. Separate guest and crew pathways are incorporated throughout the yacht.
The upper deck is arranged for entertaining, with a sky lounge, outdoor dining for 10 and a forward lounge. One clever feature is a concealed technical area beneath the forward sunpads, where a crane handles the yacht’s water toys, including a Williams 625 tender and two personal watercraft.
The sun deck adds more than 1,076 square feet of outdoor space, with a Jacuzzi, custom lounges, an al fresco dining area and an American bar.
Twin MTU 12V2000 M96L diesels deliver a top speed of 18 knots, while the yacht’s range is about 3,600 nautical miles at 11 knots. Four electric stabilizer fins are designed to improve comfort underway and at anchor, while the yacht’s maximum draft is just 7.4 feet.
As Riva’s largest yacht to date, the Riva 54Metri marks a significant expansion of the brand’s superyacht ambitions while retaining the clean, recognizable design language that has defined Riva for generations.
