Azimut is expanding its Seadeck Series with the new Seadeck 9, an 85-foot yacht designed to blur the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living. The largest yacht ever built at the company’s Avigliana, Italy, facility, the model centers on a three-tiered aft terrace that flows into the main deck and culminates in a 180-degree pool deck overlooking the water. A 75-square-foot swim platform, movable sunbeds and a convertible dining table add flexibility to the open-air space.
Alberto Mancini handled the exterior design, while Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez shaped the interiors, which offer walnut or pale-oak finishes and four guest cabins below deck, including a full-beam master suite.
The Seadeck 9 also continues Azimut’s focus on efficiency. A specially developed planing hull, carbon-fiber construction accounting for about 40 percent of the yacht and triple Volvo Penta IPS drives are claimed by the builder to reduce fuel consumption and emissions by as much as 30 percent compared with similarly sized conventional yachts. The propulsion package is also compatible with hybrid-electric technology.
At anchor, a 60-kWh lithium battery supports Azimut’s Hotel Mode, allowing the yacht to operate with generators off for up to four hours during the day or eight hours at night while maintaining key onboard systems.
