Riviera is bringing one of its best-known models into a new generation with the 5000 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition, a thoroughly reworked design that builds on the original 5000 Sport Yacht introduced in 2009. The Australian builder plans to stage the new model’s world premiere in late 2026.
At 53 feet, 4 inches overall, the new 5000 is designed around the combination of entertaining space, cruising capability and relatively straightforward owner operation. Its 15-foot-5-inch beam provides plenty of room for a layout that puts a premium on connecting indoor and outdoor living areas.
A hydraulic teak-laid swim platform lowers to form a beach-club area and incorporates cascading steps for boarding from the water. Beneath the aft deck, a tender garage accommodates watersports gear and a 9-foot tender with an electric winch handling launch and retrieval.
The aft deck serves as the primary social space, with a full-beam transom lounge, dining area and outdoor galley equipped with a barbecue, refrigeration, icemaker and wet bar. An electric sunroof adds light and ventilation overhead. Opening the salon door and awning window creates a continuous single-level space between the salon and aft deck.
The interior features contemporary furnishings and a full galley, while the foredeck offers another gathering area with sun lounges, companion seating and an integrated icebox.
Belowdecks, owners can choose between two- and three-stateroom layouts. Both include a full-beam master suite and forward VIP, while the two-stateroom version can be fitted with a lower lounge that serves as a media room or additional sleeping space.
Twin Volvo Penta D8 IPS 800 engines, each producing 600 hp, provide the propulsion. Available technology includes Volvo Penta Assisted Docking, Seakeeper stabilization, Sentinel remote monitoring, Starlink connectivity and solar charging. Fuel capacity is 594 gallons, with 122 gallons of freshwater aboard.
The new 5000 Sport Yacht Platinum will be handcrafted at Riviera’s facility on Australia’s Gold Coast and make its world premiere later this year.
