Forte Yachts will officially enter the luxury sport yacht market this September when the new Forte 47 Gran Turismo makes its world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival.

The 47-footer is built entirely of aluminum, a construction method more commonly associated with larger custom yachts. The builder says the approach allows greater flexibility in interior layouts while helping keep weight down for performance. Naval architecture is by Umberto Tagliavini, with exterior and interior design by Paolo Giordano.

Power comes from triple 600 hp Mercury Verado V12 outboards for a reported top speed of 47 knots. Buyers looking for quieter cruising can instead opt for a Volvo Penta IPS-powered Lounge Deck version, which has a reported top speed of 37 knots but trades outright speed for greater efficiency, longer range and a larger aft lounging area with a hydraulic swim platform.

One of the Forte 47 GT’s standout features is its outdoor entertaining space. Fold-down side terraces expand the cockpit to more than 430 square feet, creating a beach-club-style social area complete with an outdoor galley, bar, dining space and direct water access via a concealed passerelle and integrated swim platforms.

Belowdecks, the standard arrangement includes a full-beam owner’s stateroom, a flexible guest stateroom with double and single berths, and two separate heads—a layout rarely found aboard yachts of this size. The aluminum hull structure also allows owners to customize interior arrangements to suit individual cruising needs.

Forte Yachts says additional customization options include enclosed-cockpit configurations for colder climates, allowing owners to extend their boating season in northern cruising grounds.

The Forte 47 Gran Turismo will be displayed publicly for the first time during the Cannes Yachting Festival.
