The 288-foot, six-deck superyacht Illusion is scheduled for delivery in mid-2015. Asking price is $89.5 million.
The Raffles shipyard in Shandong province, China, is currently building a 288-foot megayacht under the project name Illusion. When completed in mid-2015, Illusion will be the biggest-volume yacht ever built in that country, totaling six decks and 3,500 gross tons. Courtesy Fraser Yachts Worldwide
Raffles, which is building Illusion, is known for having built the 295-foot Nero as well as the 288-foot Asean Lady, which come in at 1,400 gross tons and 2,385 gross tons, respectively. The in-house Raffles team is handling exterior design on Illusion, while naval architecture is being done by Azure Naval Architects in The Netherlands. You may recognize Azure Naval as the team behind the 282-foot Oceanco Seven Seas (owned by Oscar-winning director Steven Spielberg) and the 269-fooot Oceanco Alfa Nero.
