Monte Carlo Yachts (MCY), which is part of Group Beneteau, made a splash in the flybridge segment less than three years ago when it launched its first 76-footer. MCY now has a 65- and 70-footer to round out that series. The company’s latest launch is the Monte Carlo 5 (MC5), a 49-footer that features exterior styling from well-regarded design firm Nuvolari & Lenard. Naval architects Tanguy Le Bihan and Patrick Tableu gave the MC5 her running surface, which sports a hull form designed exclusively for use with Volvo Penta’s IPS diesels (IPS 500 or IPS 600) and pod drives.
