Britain’s Other New Royal Baby

The Princess V48 is the first in the Princess V Class to have Volvo IPS drives.

The Princess V48 is one of several new models that will be displayed for the first time in the United States during the upcoming fall boat shows. She’s also the first in the Princess V Class of motoryachts to be equipped with Volvo Penta IPS drives.

The V48 is a midrange model in the builder’s V Class, which spans from 39 to 85 feet in length overall. She has an LOA of 50 feet and a beam of 13 feet, 6 inches, with a draft of 3 feet, 9 inches.

Her twin 435-mhp Volvo IPS 600s give her a top speed of 32 to 34 knots, depending on weather and other conditions.

Standard interior choices are Serotina cherry wood or light oak. Walnut is an option. The master stateroom and the forward guest stateroom each feature large, trapezoid-shaped windows for terrific views.

You can check out the first Princess V48 in America at the Newport and Annapolis boat shows, where she will be on display alongside the new Princess 52. Both of those yachts will join the new Princess 82 Motor Yacht at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in October.
