Hatteras 45EX
Hatteras Yachts plans to introduce an Express Series of motoryachts at the 2014 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. The first model will be the Hatteras 45EX, configured either for tournament-style fishing or family cruising comfort.
“The Hatteras Express Series raises the bar in design, engineering and performance for the inboard express market segment,” Hatteras President and CEO John Ward stated in a press release. “Owners will enjoy not only an abundance of amenities, but also a significant reduction of overall noise levels and vibration that you would typically exerience on an inboard express boat of this size.”
Standard features will include a resin-infused fiberglass hull bottom, an integrated hardtop, a single-pane forward windshield and sound-deadening materials and systems.
A Hatteras 52 Express is also in the works. Hatteras is keeping mum for now on specs and performance details, but the builder is uploading videos of the construction and launch of the first 45s. Here’s a look:
