Rhoades Young Design has announced several projects now in development, including a conversion of the 138-foot Philippe Briand design_ Mari-Cha IV_ at Royal Huisman, a new-build 151-foot Bill Tripp design at Holland Jachtbouw, a new-build 65-foot Sparkman & Stephens carbon sloop at Royal Huisman and the refit of the 141-foot Bruce King design Asgard.

The Mari-Cha IV project will end with the famous, former offshore racing yacht being rechristened as a performance cruiser called Samurai. She was the fastest and largest racing yacht in the world when she launched in 2003. Her top speed is more than 40 knots, and she broke the transatlantic record by completing the crossing in less than a week.

Rhoades Young handled exterior design for the conversion, which includes a new composite deckhouse and cockpit. A lifting keel is being added, and a new interior is being installed.
