The Palm Beach 50 (shown right) will make her U.S. debut at the Newport International Boat Show, and this Down East style build from Down Under is sure to be a hit. She has a large cockpit, which can be covered with a retractable canvas top to provide a relaxing area shielded from the blazing sun or pouring rain. She is fairly quick as well — with twin 435 horsepower Volvo IPS diesels, the top speed is 30 knots. See the Palm Beach 50 for yourself on display at Bannister’s Wharf. Winner of the 2010 European Powerboat of the Year Award, the Prestige 60 will make her debut on American shores during the Newport International Boat Show. The 60 features a full-beam master amidships, with his and her hanging lockers and an en suite head. She also has plenty of exterior space — relax in the shade of the flybridge in the large cockpit, or catch some rays on the expansive sunpad on the bow. Another debut will be the Back Cove 33. A new launch from this respected Maine-based builder, this Down East beauty features a 380-horsepower Yanmar 6LY diesel. (For better handling in tight situations, she comes with a joystick-controlled bow thruster.) Her cockpit features a large bench seat for lounging underway or at anchor, and a portside dinette that rises for easy access to the engines.
