The new Gamefisherman 37 Walkaround employs the same high-quality, cold-molded construction as the Gamefisherman 42 Convertible (On the Docks, April). The 37's modified-V hull has 10 degrees of deadrise at the transom. Her cockpit covering is teak, the finish is Awlgrip and her trim is mahogany. Twin 440 hp Yanmars are projected to push her to a 32-knot cruise and a top end nudging 40 knots. Each 37 is custom, so owners can work with the builder to ensure no two are alike.

Owners of older Bertrams know Glasstech as a reliable source for replacement fiberglass components. The company builds the Glasstech 36 with a solid bottom, 23 degrees of deadrise at the transom, cored hull sides and solid-core urethane stringers. Loaded for bear, she shows a 32-knot cruise on the GPS and 36 knots all out, according to the manufacturer. She should be an able platform for day boat fishing, a true walkaround that affords 360 degrees in which to fight any pelagic. Two steps lead from the cockpit to the bridge level and helm.
