Dream Symphony

Earlier this year, plans were solidified for the construction of Dream Symphony, a 463-foot staysail schooner. Ken Freivokh Design penned the lines, and Dykstra & Partners Naval Architects plan to boost the boat’s “green” credentials by using carefully selected tropical, renewable wood in the build. Construction will take place at the Dream Ship Victory yard in Turkey with a planned launch date of 2016. If Dream Symphony takes to the seas, she will surpass Barry Diller’s Eos, with an overall length of 305 feet, and become the largest sailing yacht in the world.

How long will she hold this title? We’ll have to wait and see.
