CAPTIVATOR is an 84-foot Palmer Johnson motoryacht that was built in 1984 and refit in 2004. Capt. Graham Barnes has been bringing her to the Great Lakes since 2001, for about four months out of each year. He says that in addition to charters on the lakes themselves, Captivator is available for charter between the Great Lakes and the boat’s winter base in Florida.

Captivator is part of the Neptune Group Yachting charter fleet (954-524-7978; www.ngyi.com). She takes six guests with three crew at a weekly base rate of $25,500.

Great Lakes Charters

PERSEVERANCE II is a 124-foot Oceanfast motoryacht whose owner keeps her docked in Chicago for the entire summer season. She is typically available for day charters out of the city, or for extended charters while en route to and from the Great Lakes area.

Perseverance II is part of the Luxury Yacht Group charter fleet (954-525-9959; www.luxyachts.com). She takes eight guests with six crew at a weekly base rate of $67,000.

Great Lakes Charters

TRILOGY is a 90-foot Stephens motoryacht whose captain, Mike Witters, has offered charters out of northwest Lake Michigan for a decade. During the summer of 2011, Trilogy will be available for charter in Maine. Witters expects the yacht to be back in the Great Lakes and open to guests during the summer of 2012.

Trilogy is part of the Churchill Yacht Partners charter fleet (954- 761-3237; www.churchillyachts.com). She takes eight guests with four crew at a weekly base rate of $29,500.
