Beneteau Aims at South America

The builder is speeding up development of its powerboat distribution network.

Beneteau Gran Turismo 35

The Gran Turismo 35 is one of the powerboat models Beneteau builds in Brazil.

Beneteau America is hastening development of its powerboat distribution network in South America, including adding powerboats to its sailing-yacht distributor in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and expanding its powerboat dealer network throughout the continent.

The expansion will be overseen by Beneteau America President Laurent Fabre, who is based in Annapolis, Maryland.

“The recent acquisition of RecBoat Holdings by Groupe Beneteau opens a new world of opportunities, with iconic American brands like Four Winns, Glastron, Wellcraft and Scarab,” Fabre stated in a press release, “especially since we own and operate a local production site — molding and assembly — located in the state of Rio de Janeiro, in Angra dos Reis.”

The builder will be bringing at three new boats to the upcoming Sao Paulo boat show in Brazil: the Oceanis 38 and the Brazil-built express cruisers Gran Turismo 35 and 40.
