AB Yachts is known for sleek and swift, waterjet-equipped yachts and megayachts from 58 to 136 feet LOA. Its latest delivery, Diamond, is no different. She’s an AB 116 semi-custom model, with interior design by Guido de Groot Design.
AB Yachts and Guido de Groot have collaborated previously on a handful of megayachts, including AB116 models. Two examples: Musa, built in 2010, and Blue Force One, built in 2011. As for Diamond, she features the same overall emphasis on indoor-outdoor living, with a brightly punctuated decor. Vibrant tones for accessories add pop to an otherwise beach-house-cool cool, mostly white interior. Highlights of the layout include a two-level saloon, an AB Yachts tradition, as well as a full-beam master suite and three guest staterooms. A gym is also aboard, though if extra guests arrive, it can convert into a twin stateroom.
Diamond’s exterior is just as attention-getting. The iridescent paint job makes her look fast even tied to the dock. (The photo here is a sistership, though she does have the same color.) Imagine seeing her on the horizon, speeding along at a reported 46-knot top end. Diamond is powered by triple 2,400-hp MTU 16V2000 M93 CR diesel inboards.
