The Biggest Yacht in the World?

Lürssen launches Project Omar amid speculation that she may outsize Azzam in volume.

The Lürssen shipyard in Germany has launched Project Omar, a jaw-dropping feat of naval architecture and construction. While details about the yacht are being kept top-secret (Lürssen didn’t even announce the launch), reports are widespread that Project Omar is a bit over 511 feet length overall. That’s not as long as Azzam, which holds the title of world’s largest yacht at 590 feet LOA, but whispers on the docks say Project Omar may, in fact, be larger in total volume.
