The 23-years-and-going-strong production run for the Westport 112 puts her in a class all her own. Since 1994, Westport has built 59 hulls. And the yacht has a fervent following: Several owners have sold their 112s so they could build new ones.

Notable features: This yacht has a 2,500-nautical-mile range at 12 knots. Cruise speed is 22 knots.

Top-end: 25 knots. The boat has proven popular for cruising enthusiasts as well as for those who wish to put their vessels into charter.

“Westport Shipyard was founded in 1964. Initially, it focused on building vessels for the local commercial fishing industry, but word of the yard’s quality work soon spread and others came knocking. Brothers Rick and Randy Rust bought the shipyard in 1977.”
